| Solo Cavendish più veloce di Petacchi nella volata conclusiva della 7a tappa del Tour de France (Le Mans-Chateauroux). Finalmente AleJet ha avuto modo di lottare fino in fondo in una volata, non fermandosi ai preliminari come purtroppo accaduto nelle precedenti occasioni: il velocista della Lampre-ISD ha percorso gli ultimi 1500 mt di gara a ruota di Cavendish (il britannico a seguire i proprio compagni di squadra nelle vesti di apripista) e ha provato a contendere allo sprinter della HTC la vittoria fin sulla linea del traguardo. Un’ottima volata per Petacchi quindi, 2o davanti a Greipel: la piazza d’onore ottenuta dallo spezzino e’ il miglior risultato per la Lampre-ISD nella Grande Boucle 2011 e per un atleta italiano nel Tour in corso. Il bilancio positivo in casa Lampre-ISD e’ completato dal fatto che tutti i corridori blu-fucsia sono riusciti a evitare le numerose cadute che hanno contraddistinto la tappa.ORDINE D’ARRIVO 1 Cavendish 2 Petacchi 3 GreipelOnly Cavendish was faster than Petacchi in the 7th stage of Tour de France (Le Mans-Chateauroux). Finally AleJet had the chance to compete in a sprint until the finish line, while in the previous stages he was not allowed to battle for an important result. Today, Lampre-ISD’s sprinter covered the last 1500 mt following Cavendish and then he tried to overtake him until the final meters. A very good sprint for Petacchi, who was 2nd preceding Greipel: this is the best result for Lampre-ISD in 2011 Grand Boucle and for an Italian cyclist in this edition of Tour. Thee good day for Lampre-ISD is completed by the fact that no blue-fucsia riders got involved in the crashes that characterized the race.
